Woman Shot in Head, makes Tea

A woman was shot in the head by her husband, who then turned the gun on himself. It went right through her head, dead center and when the deputy showed up, she had made and offered him tea. Apparently luck is now God's work, because it was a miracle according to her.

Pirate Bay Owners Jailed

Somehow they lost the case, even though they host nothing locally. Maybe if the music / movie industry stopped producing expensive crap people would stop pirating it. I had a discussion with someone on a forum, who pirates games from every company except from Valve, because besides a handful of other companies, like Blizzard, most companies pump out unoriginal, over priced shit and don't even patch or release new content. Hmm, seems if you actually spend time on a product and make it original, people are willing to buy it.

When artists prosper from their creations they are afforded the time and means to create new and innovative products. Without this ability the quality of these products diminishes greatly. How much time will they have to create the music, films, video games, etc we love while supporting themselves through other means?" Hardly anyone famous pumps out anything new or innovative. Movies are all the same old, same old.

Illegal Immigrants Detained, then given right to work

Cops storm some work place with lots illegals and detain them. However, since this is during Obama's term, there's a lot of controversy, and some stupid bitch "Homeland Security Secretary" Janet Napolitano, declares she will get to the bottom of this. She said that they are only supposed to raid places that intentionally exploit illegal labor. The illegals were released and got visas to work here, as illegal immigrants. Change has indeed come to ammerica.
I have to agree with Ira Mehlman of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, when she asked, "Get to the bottom of what? Law enforcement officers enforcing the law?" An illegal immigrant is an illegal immigrant. It doesn't and shouldn't matter how he was employed in the U.S.

Valve - New L4D Blog Post Anounces DLC

Within the next week we should be seeing the new Survival Mode for Left 4 Dead. You hold out for as long as you can in a static location. Valve says they will have leader boards for it, so the longest surviving teams get the spotlight.
Valve posted a graph showing the spawn times for various infected:
Appearently, anything past ~10 minutes will be impossible to survive.

Obama revealed his plans for a national network of high speed passenger rail ways today. The budget for this is mostly included in the $787 Billion bailout, however another $5 Billion will be part of the 2010 budget. The trains will travel up to 150 mph and connect much of America.
Hopefully this can get some jobs going and have a positive impact on the environment, while reducing our dependency on foreign oil by taking cars off the road and lowering highway congestion.

Well, the controversial law that was passed in Afghanistan a few weeks ago is being revised according to their president. The law pretty much legalized martial rape for the husbands of Shia Muslims couples. This is good news as it shows that not everyone in that country is backwards :P

Transgender Woman Brutaly Murdered

Some 18 year old transgender girl hooked up with some older guy via some networking site (always a great idea), gives him head, and Mr. Andrade discovers some pictures of her that make him question her sex. Upon confronting her, she denies it, he grabs her crotch, finds a penis, and then beats her to death with his fists and fire extinguisher. Now I'm not a big fan of women like her, but what the hell? What misguided, confused individual kills some woman because she has a penis? I'd be willing to bet money that he was religious -- man I'm losing my faith in humanity by the day.
On another note, there's a bit of irony here. This comes out the day before a group of students at my school have an organized "vow of silence" for gays, lesbs, tranies, ect.

Fat People Pay More For United Airlines

Apparently after recieving 700 complaints about fat people taking up more than one seat, United Airlines is considering charging fat people for two plane seats. Makes sense to me.
BTW, the comments are the best part of the article. "No American citizen should pay anything extra for anything until all of the illegals stop getting our hard earned dollars. Why should the illegals benefit from our working and paying taxes? Medical, education, mortgages, and on and on…..It’s about time America took it’s country back! How sad that our President is bankrupting us along the way. So many handouts for so many undeserving….." Seriously, what the hell do illegal immigrants have to do with fat people paying double to fly? Among those comments are many supporters and a few "it's discriminatory!" comments.
